Set Up an Availability Schedule for Made-to-Order Products

Use an Availability Schedule to set how many production or lead-time days a made-to-order, customized, or fresh product needs before it can ship.

Create the availability schedule

  1. In the CloudSuite App, go to Order Management > Configuration > Delivery Schedule Configuration > Availability Schedules.
  2. Click New to create a new availability schedule.
  3. Enter a descriptive name for the schedule.
  4. Type: Select Availability from the drop-down menu.
  5. (Optional) Exception Days: Link an exception-days calendar to mark days that do not count toward production time (e.g., public holidays), even if they fall on normal working days.
  6. Overrule Customer working-days: Check this box if production time should ignore the customer’s standard delivery days.
  7. Check Stock available:
    • Leave empty if the item is always strictly made-to-order (meaning it is never held in stock, so the lead time always applies).
    • Check this if you occasionally hold stock. This ensures that if the item is in stock, the system bypasses this production delay and uses the customer’s delivery schedule.
  8. Under the Working Days section, select the days your production facility operates on. These days count toward the lead time.
  9. In the Schedule Days table, configure each active working day:
    • Cut Off Time: Enter the daily order deadline (e.g., 18:00:00 for a 6:00 PM cut-off). Orders placed before this time enter that day's production cycle or lead time.
    • Delivery Days: Enter the number of production or lead days required for orders placed before that day’s cut-off time (e.g., entering 10 means an order placed before 18:00:00 on Monday requires 10 production working days).
  10. Click Save.
Example

Standard flow: An order is placed on Wednesday before the 18:00 cut-off time. With Delivery Days set to 2, Wednesday counts as day 1 and Thursday as day 2. The product is ready for delivery on Friday.

With a non-working day: The same order is placed on Wednesday, but Thursday is a non-working day, for example because of facility maintenance. The system skips Thursday. Wednesday is day 1 and Friday becomes day 2, so the product is ready for delivery on Saturday.

Assign the Schedule to a Product

  1. In the CloudSuite App, open the product and go to the eCommerce > Logistics subtab.
  2. In the Delivery Schedule field, select the availability schedule you created. The product field is labeled Delivery Schedule, so choose a schedule of the type Availability.

CloudSuite uses this as the default availability schedule for the product. Without a default, no availability schedule applies, even if an override exists.

Override per Shop or Warehouse (Optional)

  1. On the same product, open the Overrule Parameters per Web Shop grid.
  2. Add a row and select the Shop. To override one warehouse, also select the Warehouse. Leave Warehouse empty to override the whole shop.
  3. In the Availability Schedule column, select the schedule for that shop or warehouse.

A warehouse override takes priority over a shop override. If you remove the schedule from the product, CloudSuite also removes these overrides and warns you first.
