Troubleshooting: Why is a Product not Visible in the Shop?

If a product is not visible in the shop, this can be for several reasons. Before creating a support ticket, check the suggestions described here.

Is the Product Active?

  • Go to PIM > Products and open the product.
  • In the product details, make sure that the Active checkbox is checked.

Is the Product Linked to a Tree?

  • Go to PIM > Products and open the product.
  • In the product details, go to the eCommerce tab and make sure that a tree is linked in the subtab Trees.

Is the Product Linked to a Catalog?

  • Go to PIM > Products and open the product.
  • In the product details, go to the eCommerce tab and make sure that a catalog is linked in the subtab Catalogs.

Is the Catalog Linked to the Shop?

  • Go to Stores > Shops and open the shop.
  • In the shop details, go to the tab Catalogs and make sure that the catalog of the product is linked.

Is a Service Product Linked to the Delivery Option?

If a delivery option is linked to the product (this overrules the delivery option of the sales order), check whether a service product is linked to this delivery option.

  • Go to Order Management > Configuration > Delivery Services and open the delivery option associated with the product.
  • In the delivery service details, check in the General tab whether a service product is linked under Lines.

Is the Product in Stock?

By default, whether a product is in stock or not does not affect its visibility in the shop. However, there exists a setting that makes out-of-stock products invisible.

  • Go to Marketing > Search and Navigation > Configuration.
  • In the search configuration details, check in the Search settings tab whether Skip Out of Assortment is checked. If so, out-of-stock products are invisible.

Have Products within a Variant Been Set to Inactive?

If there are inactive products associated with a product variant, they must be removed in order to continue showing the other products.

  • Go to PIM> Product Variants > Variant Settings and open the product variant.
  • In the product variant details, go to the tab Products and delete any products that are no longer active.
