Delivery Service Based on Volume or Weight
A delivery service based on the volume or weight of a product overrules the standard delivery services of the shop.
note
The EAN Module must be installed before you can configure delivery services based on volume or weight. If you are interested in using this feature, please contact your consultant or Customer Support.
You need to configure two things to make this feature work:
- The EAN number of the product.
- The delivery service.
Editing the EAN Number in the Product
- In the CloudSuite App, go to PIM > Products and open the product.
- In the product details, go to the EAN tab.
- Create a new EAN number. A new screen opens:
- Enter the EAN Number.
- When the EAN number is saved, the Product UOM is filled automatically with de Default UOM of the product . (You can find the default UOM in the General tab of the product.)
- Next to Quantity, enter the Length, Height, Width and/or Weight of the product, used to determine which delivery service is activated in the order.
- Click OK, then Save the edited product.
Configuring the Delivery Service
- In the CloudSuite App, go to Order Management > Configuration > Delivery Services. Open an existing delivery service or create a new one.
- In the delivery service details, Check Volume & Weight must be active for the EAN calculations to work.
- Add a new delivery service Line. For free shipping:
- Next to Product, select a service product for this delivery service. You can choose an existing service product or create a new one.
- Next to Minimum/Maximum Weight, enter the desired range of the weight for the delivery service. The value entered as Weight in the EAN number is used to determine if the delivery service is activated. For example, set a weight range from 1 to 10 to have all products with a weight within this range in the EAN number activate the delivery service.
- Next to Minimum/Maximum Volume, enter the desired range of the volume for the delivery service. The values entered as Length, Height and Width in the EAN number are multiplied to calculate the volume and thus, to determine if the delivery service is activated. For example, set a volume range from 60 to 75 to have all products with a volume within this range in the EAN number activate the delivery service. A product with an EAN number where the length is set to 6, the height to 4 and the width to 3 has a volume of 72 and will therefore activate the delivery service.
