Payment Terms

To work with payment terms, in the CloudSuite App go to Other Settings > Payment Terms. An overview appears, listing all payment terms that have already been defined. Double-click an existing payment term to open its details or click New to create a new one.

  • Enter the Name of the payment. This will be visible to shop visitors, and can be translated.
  • The payment term is Active only when the corresponding box is checked. This is the default when creating a new payment term.
  • The Description is an additional text which is displayed in the shop. This will be visible to shop visitors, and can be translated.
  • Online Payment can be checked only when creating a new payment term, not when editing an existing one. If this field is checked, webshop orders with this payment term must always be paid online. Two further fields become available:
    • If Partial Payment is checked, an order need not necessarily be paid in full in one go. Additional fields become available, as described below.
    • If Show Order Overview is checked, an overview of the order is shown as the last step of the checkout process. This overrides the corresponding shop setting.
  • If Optional Online Payment is checked, webshop orders with this payment term may be paid online but they can also be paid on account. (This field disappears when you check Online Payment.)

Partial Payments

If Online Payment and Partial Payment are checked, an order need not necessarily be paid in full in one go. Additional fields become available, as described below.

  • You can enter a Partial Payment Percentage that is the minimum that must be settled online on checkout. The remainder of the order amount will be put on account.
  • If Round Partial Payment is checked, partial payments will be rounded to the closest whole unit (i.e., no decimals).
  • If you add any Allowed Delivery Services, the possibility of partial payment will be limited to those.
