Coupons

With coupons, you can offer a discount or give-away when the customer presents a predefined coupon code on checkout. To work with coupons, in the CloudSuite App go to Marketing > Coupon Definitions. An overview appears, listing coupons that have already been defined. Double-click an existing coupon to open its details or click New to create a new one.

• The Coupon Type determines some of the fields available in the General tab. This can no longer be changed after a new coupon has been saved.
• The Name is shown in the basket when a customer uses the coupon, and can be translated.
• The coupon is Active only when the corresponding box is checked. This is the default when creating a new coupon.

General

The fields in this tab are dependent on the coupon type.

• If the coupon type is Discount or Discount & free shipping, the following fields are available.
  • Select the service Product defining the discount. (A default coupon product may have been defined already.)
  • If you enter an Overrule Product Name, this is shown in the order overview instead of the standard name of the service product.
  • If you enter a Discount Price, this is the amount the coupon is worth and two more check boxes appear. Leave this field blank to use the price defined for the service product.
  • If Discount including VAT is checked, the specified discount amount includes VAT.
  • If Adjust to lower Sale Amount is checked and the discount amount exceeds the sale amount, the remainder is lost.
• Set the Starting Date and End Date for the coupon's validity. If you leave the starting date blank, the coupon is valid immediately. If you leave the end date blank, the coupon remains valid indefinitely. These fields are not available if the coupon type is Basked Bundle discount, where the validity period is set for the linked bundle.
• The Minimum order value and Maximum order value fields let you set a lower and/or upper limit for the total order value to which the coupon applies. If no minimum order value is specified, the value of the coupon is used as the minimum order value.
• Using a Sale Type, coupons can be defined for just those webshops with the same type.
• Uses per coupon is the number of times that the coupon can be used within the shop. Leave this field blank to allow for unlimited use.

• Uses per party is the number of times that the coupon can be used by the same customer.
• If the coupon type is Basked Bundle discount, select the Bundles for which the coupon is valid. These can include a give-away product or a mix promotion bundle.

The field Discount Price cannot take a percentage. Therefore, if the coupon value is a percentage rather than a fixed amount, you cannot overwrite the discount specified in the service product.

Coupons

The Coupons tab is used to generate individual coupons with a code that you specify. Coupons that have already been generated, are listed.

Generate

If you don't want to create the coupons manually, you can use the Generate tab to create multiple coupons in one go.

• Next to Length, specify the number of characters of the coupon codes.
• Choose the Format of the codes: numeric, alphabetical or alphanumeric.
• If you enter a Prefix, these characters are added before the generated coupon codes (not included in the specified length).
• If you enter a Suffix, these characters are added at the end of the generated coupon codes (not included in the specified length).
• Enter a numerical value next to Dash every x Character(s) to insert a dash at every n-th position of the body of the generated codes, but not in the Prefix and Suffix.
• Specify the Number of Coupons to Generate.

Click Generate to generate the codes. They will immediately be listed in the Coupons tab.
