Page Mappings

The URLs of the pages in your website may not be all be as SEO-friendly as you might wish. To address this, you can modify the URL format using a mapping (also called a slug).

To work with page mappings in the CloudSuite App, go to Marketing > SEO > Url Mappings. An overview appears, listing all page mappings that have already been defined. Double-click an existing mapping to open its details or click New to create a new one.

  • In a multilingual shop, choose the Language for which the mapping is defined.
  • Optionally, select the Shop for which the mapping is defined. Note that a mapping for a particular shop takes precedence over the same one where no shop has been specified.
  • Choose the Target Type, the Endpoint and the Page. Together these identify the page for which you define the mapping.
  • Next to Url Path, enter the text that should appear after the shop part of the URL (the mapping or slug). Do not start or end with a slash.

A new or changed mapping will not be immediately visible in the webshop. To see your changes in the shop immediately, select Rebuild URL Mappings and Clear All Cache in the Debug Tools in the CloudSuite App.

note

URL mappings (slugs) can also be maintained in the CloudSuite Admin.
