Creating a Service Product

Service products are 'pro forma' products, used for (positive or negative) additional order costs such as shipping costs or discounts.

  1. In the CloudSuite App, go to PIM > Products and click New to create a new product.
  2. In the product details, enter a Name and Code for the service product and check the box Active.
  3. In the General tab, fill in the following fields:
    • As the Type, choose Service.
    • Choose a Category for the product. Leave empty if you do not have a preferred category.
    • Enter the List Price of the product, if applicable. For a discount, enter 0.
    • Leave the Cost Price blank, or enter 0.
    • Check the box Order Cost.
    • Check the box Salable.
  4. For discounts, go to the Order Cost tab and:
    • Check the box Percentage Product.
    • Enter the discount Percentage that will be shown in the order. For a discount, this percentage should always have a minus sign in front of the number (e.g. -20.00).
  5. Go to the Customers tab and set the Delivery Time to 0.
  6. Go to the Accounting tab and check the box Use Category's Taxes.

Save the new service product. You can now use it in, for example, promotion bundles or delivery services.
