Replacing a Product in Order Templates
You can replace a product in order templates. The new product will replace the old one and a message can be shown to the customer.
Before you can use this functionality, some configuration must be carried out by CloudSuite to the front-end of your shop. Please contact your consultant or Customer Support for more information.
- In the CloudSuite App, go to Order Management > Order Templates > Templates.
- In the top menu, select Action > Replace Product.
- A pop-up appears.
- Select the Old Product (the product that is to be replaced) and the New Product (the replacement product).
- Optionally, enter a Text which will be shown in the order templates, such as "This is a replacement product for [name] with article number [code]".
- The Visible till Date determines for how long the Text will be shown.
Once saved, a replacement cannot be undone. If you make a mistake, simply create another replacement to reverse the first. For example, if by mistake you have replaced ProductA in order templates with ProductB, just create a second replacement where the Old Product is ProductB and the New Product is ProductA.
There is no overview available in the CloudSuite App showing active replaced product rules.
Alternative Method
You can access a very similar screen from the order template details for a template that already contains the replacement product.
- In the Products tab, open the replacement product.
- In the pop-up that is shown, go to the Replace Product tab.
- Fill in the fields as described earlier, with the following two differences:
- The New Product field is missing, since the current product will be the replacement product.
- If Deleted by User is checked, the text can be clicked closed by the user so that it is not shown again.
