Combining Orders from Guest Users

CloudSuite automatically creates a new customer number (party) for each order when a customer without an existing account places an order.

You can change this to create a single customer number (party) for each unique email address used when placing the order. A new customer is then created the first time a guest user places an order using a new email, and all future orders from that same email address are bundled under the corresponding customer number. This only works for orders that are placed after activating this functionality: it does not affect existing orders.

  1. In the CloudSuite App, go to Stores > Shops and open the shop.
  2. In the shop details, go to the General tab and check Re-use existing guest Party.
  3. Save your change.
  4. Clear the shop cache.
