Taxes

Taxes include not only tax but also levies.

To work with taxes and levies, in the CloudSuite App go to Other Settings > Taxes > Taxes. An overview appears, listing all taxes that have already been defined. Double-click an existing tax to open its details or click New to create a new one.

  • Enter a Name for the tax. This will not be visible to customers.
  • The Description is what will be shown in reports etc.
  • The tax is Active only when the corresponding box is checked. This is the default when creating a new tax.

General Information

  • Select the Group to which the tax belongs. (Tax groups are defined separately.) This can no longer be changed after the tax has been first saved.
  • A Sequence number gives control over the order in which taxes are applied in the Basket.
  • You may enter a Starting Date as of when the tax is applied. If you leave this field blank, the tax is active immediately.
  • Under Type, choose if the tax is calculated as a Fixed amount or as a Percentage. Then, enter the Rate or Amount, as appropriate.
  • Select for which Company the tax should be active.
  • If Update Unit Price is checked, the price in the Basket will reflect the tax. If not, the tax is shown separately.
