Tags
Tags offer endless possibilities and many creative solutions in the CloudSuite platform.
- Customers can quickly find relevant related products that have the same tag.
- Tags can display an icon or label on products, such as items on sale, on the Product Detail Page (PDP) or Product Listing Page (PLP). This can be either text or an image.
- Tags on a product page can be linked for cross-referencing. Clicking on a tag lists all products with the same tag, displayed in a Tag Page.
To work with tags, in the CloudSuite App go to PIM > Attributes > Tags. An overview appears, listing all tags that have already been defined. Double-click an existing tag to or click New to create a new one.
- The Name identifies the tag in other parts of CloudSuite.
- The Special Type Tag is needed only when the tag is used in special situations:
- Cross-Selling is used to group tagged products for a cross-selling promotional campaign. A tab with the name Filters will be added to the screen (see further down).
- Standard is the default.
- Tag for Bundle Promotions is used to group tagged products into a promotional bundle.
- Up Selling is used to group tagged products for an up-selling promotional campaign.
- A Sequence number gives control over the order in which tags are activated within the shop. The lower the sequence number of a tag, the earlier it is activated.
- The Path picture tells CloudSuite where to find the image (if any) that is used as the logo for
- If Searchable is checked, the tag is included in a full-text search of the webshop.
- If Custom Slug is checked, the field Slug becomes available for you to enter a non-standard URL for the page containing the results of a search for a tag.
- If Generate a Product Tree is checked, the tag generates a new product tree. Additional fields become available:
- If Group the tags is checked, you select a Group to which the tag belongs. Tag groups are defined separately
- The CSS Identifier is a CSS class you can add to style a generated tree.
- If Layered_navigation is checked, the shop visitor can 'drill down' to display ever-more specific trees.
- If Hidden is checked, the tag will not be visible in any Product Detail Page.
- If Show icon is checked, the field Custom identifier becomes available, for you to enter the path to the image (if any) that is used as the logo for the tag.
- If Show as badge is checked, the tag is shown in a badge on the Product Detail Page. The Badge style field then lets you specify the color of the badge. The choice that you make is translated to an actual color on the basis of your front-end's style sheet.
Description
In this tab, you can enter some SEO-related settings.
Enter the Description, the Page Title and the Meta Description. All can be translated. The description is visible to search engines but not to the customer.
Products
There are two ways to add products to the tag in the Products tab:
- Search for the products by code or name in the Search bar, or
- Click Import Products and upload a
.csv(comma-separated values) file with the product codes of the products you want to add to the tag. This file only needs one column with the titleproduct_codeorimport_key. You can add all the product codes under this column.
You can also add products to a tag starting from the product details. Open the product, then go to the eCommerce tab and find the subtab Tags.
Filters
This tab is available only for tags where the Special Type is Cross Selling.
Here you can select the attributes that you want to use for showing other, cross-selling products. Per Attribute, select a Filter Type:
- Choose include to show products with the same attribute.
- Choose exclude to hide products with the same attribute.
