Languages
Multiple languages can be defined for your shops.
To work with languages, in the CloudSuite App go to Administration > Localization > Languages. An overview appears, listing all languages that have already been defined. Double-click an existing language to open its details or click New to create a new one.
- Enter the Name of the language. This will be visible to shop visitors, and can be translated.
- The language Code consists of two lowercase letters identifying the language, followed by an underscore and two uppercase letters identifying a part of the world where the language is spoken. For example, en_US is the code for US English and en_GB is the code for British English.
- The language is Active only when the corresponding box is checked. This is the default when creating a new language.
- The Direction is the direction in which a language is read. Set this to Right-to-left for languages such as Arabic and Hebrew.
- Under Date Formatting, enter a pattern for the way a calendar date is formatted.
- The Grouping can be left at the default of [].
- A Thousands Separator may be used to split up prices at every third position. For example, if you specify a thousands separator of . then one thousand would be displayed as 1.000. If you leave this field blank, one thousand would be displayed as 1000.
- The Decimal Separator is the character preceding decimals in numbers. This is usually either a comma or a period.
