Campaigns
You can run promotional campaigns that are active within a period of time that you have scheduled in advance. The widgets that you add to a campaign are shown only when that campaign is active. If you also create a fallback campaign, its widgets serve as placeholders when no other campaign is currently active. This ensures that your page layout remains intact at all times.
To work with campaigns, in the CloudSuite Admin go to Settings > Campaigns. An overview appears, listing all campaigns that have already been defined. Click an existing campaign to open its details or click Create Campaign to create a new one.
- The Name identifies the campaign throughout the CMS. The name of the campaign will not be shown to the visitors of your shop.
- Optionally, enter a Description. This is for your personal reference, and will not be shown to the visitors of your shop.
- If Fallback is checked, the campaign is shown when no other campaign is active. Checking this box removes the Start Date and End Date fields, as the only function of a fallback is to stand by for times when no other campaigns are active.
- You can choose a Color to visually mark any references to this campaign throughout the CMS. This will serve as an eye-catcher when you are designing your pages. The color will not show up for visitors of your shop.
- The Start Date and End Date determine when the widgets for this campaign should be shown. Omitting either or both dates will disable the campaign.
