Search Keyword Redirects
A search keyword redirect directs a customer immediately to a particular shop page on carrying out a certain search. Rather than executing a search in the usual manner, the webshop 'traps' a particular search term and acts on it without doing any actual searching.
To work with keyword redirects, in the CloudSuite Admin go to Search & Navigation > Search Keyword Redirects. An overview appears, listing all keyword redirects that have already been defined. Click an existing redirect to open its details or click Create Redirect to create a new one.
- Under Search Term, enter the search term that you want to 'trap'. Search terms are case-insensitive: an uppercase (capital) letter is taken to be the same as the corresponding lowercase letter.
- Optionally, select the Shop for which the redirect is defined. Note that a keyword redirect for a particular shop takes precedence over the same search where no shop has been specified.
- Next to Destination, click SELECT to select the page that the redirect points to. A pop-up opens.
- In the tab Database Objects, you can select a Brand page, CloudSuite Admin page, Product page, Tag page or Tree page.
- In the tab Static, you can specify any URL inside your shop.
- Click SELECT in pop-up, then from the Options menu, select Save to save your edits.
Your changes will not be immediately active in the webshop. To see them in the shop immediately, select Rebuild URL Mappings in the Debug Tools in the CloudSuite App.
Search keyword redirects (also called search term redirects) can also be maintained in the CloudSuite App.
