Downloading and Updating Your .po Files

To manage translations of system messages and built-in text in your webshop, you need to edit your so-called .po files. To do so, you must have an account for CloudSuite’s translation service. If you do not have a translations account, please contact Customer Service to request access.

Step 1: Log in to the Translations Portal

  1. Go to the translations portal in your browser. This is usually https://translate.cloudsuite.com/<customername>.
  2. Log in using the username and password provided by CloudSuite Support.

Step 2: Download the .po File

  1. Click on the language you want to edit.
  2. This will automatically download the .po file for that language to your default download folder.

Step 3: Edit the Translations

  1. Open the .po file using a compatible translation editor tool. Since the file format is standard, you can choose the commercial or open-source editor of your choice.
  2. Make the necessary changes or additions.
  3. Save the updated file in your editor.

Step 4: Upload Translations

  1. Return to the translations portal.
  2. Click Upload Translations.
  3. Drag-and-drop the updated .po file, or click Browse to select the file from your computer.

Step 5: Push to the Webshop

  1. Click Update Webshop Translations.
  2. Choose the environment (test, acceptance or production) from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Update Webshop Translations again to publish.

Your translations are now live in the webshop.
