Recommendations

Basket suggestions or product recommendations are a good way to increase sales. By default, CloudSuite offers the possibility to add promotions during checkout to be added to the order before confirmation.

Based on the sales data stored in the CloudSuite database, we offer intelligent promotions, based on recommendations. The products that are displayed are based on a set of rules that can be configured per shop.

The Recommendations module gives you a tool to recommend the most relevant products to visitors, based on their behavior (order history) and/or other (similar) shop visitors (voice of the crowd).

Recommendations can be included in the check-out, based on products in the basket and/or on category pages or product pages, based on the product within the category or a specific product. A widget for configuring the recommendations is added to the CloudSuite Admin.

Alternative Products from the Same Product Category

On product pages, shoppers often want to see similar products to discover what alternatives are available, or products that are related (same product category).

Cross-Sell Products Based on Basket Contents

Recommendations can be included in the basket during checkout. These are the cross-sell products that are configured for the products currently in the basket.

Order History

This feature is especially useful in the case of customers who frequently order the same products, which are usually just a small part of your entire assortment. For instance, when you are in the packing industry and some customers just need packaging for fish: just with a single click, a customer sees the products most frequently ordered, based on their own order history.

Voice of the Crowd

With this feature, you could show recommended products based on the order history of all customers in the current webshop Example : On a product page for a coffee cup, sugar and milk will be shown as recommended products.

This is an additional module that needs to be activated through a CloudSuite consultant since it requires some configuration.

Promote Products on Tree Level

To promote a selection of products on a category page, the Modified ranking option in Recommendations lets you promote one or more products by “manually” adding them to the top of your search results.

This is a useful tool to promote high-margin products, or to sell out discontinued products.
