Drop-Shipment

For drop-shipment orders, the delivery address is usually not the customer’s address placing the order (e.g. a dealer or wholesaler) but the address of the end customer receiving the goods.

If you provide drop-shipments, they can create or select a known drop-shipment address that is not linked as a shipping address but as a drop-shipment address and is only used for the shipment of specific orders.

The CloudSuite platform provides a distinct checkout process for drop shipments. Drop-shipment is a 'special type' selected for a particular delivery service line. You can select drop-shipment delivery during the shopping basket process and create delivery addresses of the "drop-shipment" kind.

The advantage is a clear separation between your own delivery addresses and drop-shipment addresses. Throughout all stages of the checkout process, it is evident that it is a drop-shipment order.
