Cross-Selling & Upselling
Cross-selling and upselling are tools used to increase the revenue of orders.
- With cross-selling, you hope to convince your customers to buy additional similar products that are related to a product that they are looking at, e.g. a matching product in the same product line.
- With upselling, you hope to convince your customer to buy a more valuable product than the product they are looking at, e.g. a better-quality product.
This feature can be used for “Other people bought” or “You may also be interested in”. Various methods, or a combination of them, are possible.

Product Features
For easy implementation, CloudSuite includes the standard cross-selling and upselling feature under the product. This allows you to manually select products and link them as upsell or cross-sell options to a product. In addition to cross-selling and upselling products, you can also specify alternative selling products: any group of products that you would like to offer as an alternative (for example, returned items, items with a small defect, or sample products).
Cross-selling, upselling and alternative products are displayed on the Product Detail Page, as are product options.

Attributes and Tagging
Cross-selling options can be based on product attributes. So for multiple attribute values, you can define if you want to include or exclude products with the same attributes. This feature is useful for displaying products that belong to the same series or the same color but a different version or product group.
Another method is to tag a group of products, making it easier to select a larger number of items for upselling or cross-selling.
Add-to-Basket Pop-Up
To trigger customers to add additional products to their basket, you can also show a pop-up with cross-sell options for the selected product.
This method is especially useful for B2C shops with small orders.
