Real-Time Pricing
When your ERP system has a very complex or continuously changing price system, you can consider using the real-time pricing module of CloudSuite. For each shop, the choice can be made to connect to a specific ERP system or to use the internal prices.
To make use of the CloudSuite dynamic pricing interface for real-time pricing, a project is required to determine the exact conditions and to set up the API interface.
CloudSuite distinguishes two levels of real-time pricing:
Prices
This is the most flexible solution. All features of the webshop are still available; only the product prices are determined by the ERP system, including the price tiers calculation (price depending on quantity).
Further price calculations are handled by the CloudSuite platform in the basket. Therefore all promotional features of the platform are available. Additional order discounts/surcharges can be configured within the CloudSuite platform.
Our standard cache mechanism is available. Usually, the expiration time of the cache is short because of possible price changes in ERP. All prices in the basket are retrieved in real-time, thus accurate.
B2C Shops
For B2C shops it is possible to retrieve external prices excluding VAT and display them as prices including VAT in the webshop. This is particularly interesting if you have both a B2B and a B2C webshop.
Prices and Basket
In this case, the ERP system is completely leading in regards to prices, taxes and order discounts/surcharges.
As a result certain standard promotional features, such as product bundles, are not available in the shop.
